Summary of our little surprise
May 9: 1st appt confirming pregnancy (positive home test April 27). After estimating we were ~8 wks along, an ultrasound showed a much bigger baby, maybe 16 weeks. We heard the heartbeat and got our first glimpse of our "active" baby, which Chris pointed out to be in line with God’s description of our firstborn as "lively."
May 11: 2nd office visit and ultrasound - this one for size measurements and due date estimation. From this, as you will see by the pics above, that our pregnancy was 19 weeks and 4 days along, and that our baby girl is due October 1st.
From these two appts and another check up last Thursday (5/18), we found out that my cervix is shorter than average, but just long enough to avoid bed rest for the time being. So we’re praising God that everything is going well up to this point and we continue trusting in Him for the health of the pregnancy. Amen
