she's almost here!
Wow- It's hard to believe we're already at 38 1/2 (out of 40) weeks along! That means she can come any time and doctors would consider her "full term" vs. premature. In fact, at our midwife appointment today, she said that I am 1 1/2 cm dialated and the cervix is 75% effaced (or ripe). The midwife could even feel her hair during the pelvic exam! We also got an answer to prayer in that she has flipped herself back to the correct head down position - she had been breech since our check up 2 1/2 weeks ago and if she had stayed in that position, they would have to do a c-section before our due date of 10/1. Please pray that she will remain head down and that she would rotate herself to face my back as that should decrease possible back pain/labor. Since our last update, we have been blessed by two more showers (one from Chris' family and one at my work) as we now have almost everything we need and many things little Bethany will enjoy. We'll continue to have weekly appointments until she comes. Wish us luck!
