nurse mid wife clinic
Hello everybody. Celeste is on her way back from a weekend in Arizona visiting all of her family and letting them see her while she is pregnant. I know they really enjoyed having her there. So I thought I would let everyone know, in case you don't already, that we have decided to go to the nurse mid wife clinic instead of a doctors clinic. The obvious question we seem to get now when we tell people that is "Are you going to have your baby at home". And the answer to that question is no. We don't want that and the NMC won't deliver that way. Everyone at the NMC is a registered and trained Nurse and/or Midwife. We will still be delivering Bethany in the Hospital and a doctor will be on call all the time in case one is needed. The NMC also won't do C-sections and will get the doctor if that is needed. We feel really good about this decision as they provide very up close and personal care. And they also seem to be more hands on and intimate with each preganancy as opposed to doctors who rotate you between themselves and just come in for the delivery. The nurse mid wives will be there all through the labor to help walk us through each step and provide all the options we have available to us. Plus it doesn't hurt that our next door neighbor runs the NMC.
